SCOPE OF WORK
Under the authority of the Head of Marine, is in charge of the technical follow up of the fleet of vessels of the affiliate including the project vessel. He is the Marine activities focus point within the affiliate.
Daily duties
- Carry out inspection on board all client’s fleet.
- Establish planning and follow-up of inspections.
- Follow-up action plans after inspections.
- Carry out review of marine contractors.
- Participate to marine contractors meetings when required.
- Follow-up of International regulations (IMO, class , OCIMF , Flag states …).
- Call for Tender: participate to preparation of Exhibits, technical specifications, technical evaluation.
- Participate to review of Marine procedures.
- Deliver Marine Expertise to TEPA entities using marine means: FCP, ITV, EXP, DEX, Projects,etc…
HSE responsibilities
- Initiate and participate to Marine Contractors Audits.
- Follow up of Synergi cases related to OVID inspections.
- Member of Board of Enquiry in case of accident if required.
- Promote client’s HSE culture.
- Participate to Simops Task Force when required.
- Participate to Emergency drill when required.
- Participate to Risk analysis and Incident Root Cause analysis when required.
- Coach junior marine superintendent
SKILLS & BACKGROUND
Work experience
- 10 years experience at sea with minimum 2 years as Senior Officer (Captain, Chief Officer, Chief Engineer, 2nd Engineer).
- Knowledge of International Marine rules and regulations (IMO, OCIMF, SOLAS, MARPOL, …).
Certifications
BST/HUET or BOSIET
Degree
Former Merchant Navy Officer Mariner with Chief Officer STCW Class 1
Languages
Fluent spoken and written English and French (Portuguese is an advantage)
